THE RICO AND SANSON COLLECTION
These were a knock-off brand of Tiny Tonka’s fabricated in Spain for Rico, S.A. and was called Series Mini Sanson. What is known is that Tonka Rico Toy shared many familiarity with the Tiny Tonka brand and even carried the snub nose design but the wheels where in most case plastic. Featured on this page are some of the Tonka Rico’s and Tonka Mini Sanson’s that are in my personal collection, along with additions from other collectors. However, for the record Tonka never approved the production of these brands and therefore they are considered fakes but they are still great toys to have in a collection.
